Your name is only the beginning.
Practical guidance for the handover and your next steps. The scope of any hands-on service is agreed separately.
Before payment
Confirm the exact spelling, extension, seller, agreed amount and provider fees in the written transaction. Check the provider’s verified address. Confirm transfer eligibility, current expiry and who pays for renewal.
During the handover
Follow your registrar or transaction provider’s process. Keep transfer codes inside its secure workflow. Do not send passwords or identity documents through our enquiry form. Transfer locks or registry requirements can affect timing.
ICANN transfer questionsAfter ownership is confirmed
Check that the name appears in your registrar account, enable multi-factor authentication, review the recovery email and set a renewal reminder. Plan DNS changes carefully if email or a website already uses the name.
Support boundaries
Our included guidance concerns the agreed domain handover and links to relevant resources. Website development, hosting, email setup, incident response, legal advice and compliance certification are separate services and are not included in a domain purchase unless expressly agreed in writing.
